We are now utilizing Signup Genius to sign-up for all tagging and bagging sign-ups. Paper sign-ups will no longer be used. Students and Adults, please click on the link to sign up for Tagging & Bagging shifts. Please only sign up for 1 shift per date and location as we want to give everybody an equal opportunity. Within 7 days prior to a date, you may then sign up for additional un-filled slots if you wish.
Notes: *Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift. *Students MUST wear show shirts as a first priority, or Edison HS Bands Spirit Wear as a second choice. We ask that adult chapperones do the same. Remember that you are representiing YOUR band program and fellow musicians & performance artists!
These canning and bagging dates are for the kids, however parents are encouraged to chaperone their child's shift. We need at least one parent per shift. It is really important for all shifts to be filled, especially at WalMart, where there are two entrances/exits. Students get 50% of the amount raised put into their accounts, while the remaining 50% goes into the general band fund. Please use the Signup Genius links above to sign up for canning and/or bagging. Adult Tagging is an extremely lucrative way to collect donations for our band program!
There are (3) time slots available throughout the day. Each time slot should be staffed by up to (4) adults for maximum results. We have acquired permits for several locations in Edison on numerous days.
Note that tagging on Plainfield Ave. & Rt. 27 we ONLY stand on Plainfield Avenue and are NOT allowed to tag from cars traveling on RT. 27. This rule must be obeyed or our permit will be revoked.
All donations are totaled for the date and location, then split 50-50 between the general band account and the child's band account of the adult tagging. On the Wednesday prior to a tagging date, any open time slots will be available for friends & family over 18 of a band member, and that band member will receive the credit.
